Floristry Tutorial: Table flowers with red roses, succulents and miniature ornamental pineapples

Channels / Wedding Ideas

If you have just a few flowers and just a wee bit of fresh foliage and you want to create something visually stunning then this is what I do all the time – fill it out and expand using artificial materials. As the fresh die off, I simply change out the flowers. The great thing is it just keeps on keeping on. I call this type of designing mixed media.

- I used a square green ceramic container. If you are ever stuck not knowing what colour container to use, stick with green.
- Filled with pre-soaked green floral foam.
- My base is a lovely tropical type plant… looks like it might be an anthurium but I’m not sure… but it looks lush and will be perfect for this design.
- 3 ornamental pineapples which will last for weeks and weeks,
- Either fresh red garden roses, or perhaps store bought, even artificial
will work.
- A few various sized succulents.
