Dome still life Design – with ivy, bird and feathers into a vintage pot. Loved by the French and English, these displays of gathered memento’s are one of my most preferred interior designs.
Things to gather:
Glass dome and base in a size to suit. Ensure it is clean inside and out before work commences.
I used a vintage terracotta pot, filled with foam.
Artificial ivy, wire to make dome or topiary shape to host ivy.
Feathers, shells, brooches or pendant, ceramic bird, etc.
Method:
Make shape your desire topiary. Wind and bind to cover with ivy.
Fix down into foam and cover any foam that might show.
Place onto dome base.
Surround with gatherings in a fashion to suit!
