Floristry tutorial using Blue Tweedia with lamb’s ear into a ceramic paint finished container.

I love this combination of flower and foliage and it would look lovely on its own or make several in different sized containers, cluster together and just like that - a fabulous table display!

Because some people might be allergic to the sap which is emitted from the Tweedia when cut, might I suggest you cauterize the bottom stem with a lighter and then give a drink before use + wear gloves when handling. A drop of vinegar into the water will also help make it last a bit longer.

The container being used, was marble paint finished. To achieve the marbled look, simply fill a plastic bowl with water then deposit several drops of pale blue and black nail polish down on top of water. Use a satay stick to swirl the polish around, then gently dip and turn and twist container around to fix to sides. Place on baking paper or greaseproof paper to dry.

If you don’t like the design achieved simply use nail polish remover and start over again.

You will need several stems of Tweedia and grey lamb’s ear
foliage.
