Margo is getting married and has sent in a request asking if I could help with her table flowers. She will be using a round white paint finished earthenware or terracotta pot about this size and wants it to look a little shabby chic, rustic, woodsy and not formal.

Her main colour is orange and she has access to Asiatic lilies with white roses plus there is plenty of wild flowers around her farm. In the design, could there be incorporated her man’s favourite foliage something ferny… and he also likes prickly succulents.

And Margo likes wreaths! Ok Margo, this is what I’ve come up with and I hope this might help those of you out there looking for the same kind of concept:
Fill the container with wet green foam.
Find a wreath big enough to fit container.
Cut short pieces of fern, say 3 or 4” and insert around edge of container to point outwards.
Groups forms as demonstrated.
