The history of floral design in China spans thousands of years, with evidence of flower arrangements dating back to the Han Dynasty (206 BCE to 220 CE). The art of flower arranging flourished during the Sui and Tang dynasties (581-907 CE), becoming an established part of daily life. This tradition was deeply intertwined with religious practices, particularly Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism, where flowers were used in altars and symbolic arrangements.
