A rose is a rose… but a succulent? To me, if it has the shape and form of a flower, it is a flower — and today's design proves it. In this video I'm sharing how to create a casually elegant arrangement using just a few large succulents as your focal "flowers," paired with the bold, architectural swords of mother-in-law's tongue (snake plant). To tie it all together, a gilded vase and gold-misted spiral eucalyptus bring warmth and a touch of luxury to the whole design.
No traditional blooms needed — just good bones, great texture, and a little gold.
You'll need:
A gilded pot or vase (mine started life as a plain terracotta pot — a quick mist of gold spray paint did the rest)
4 large succulents — I used Aeonium Arboreum
4–5 swords of mother-in-law's tongue / snake plant
Optional: gold-misted silver dollar or twisty eucalyptus
This one is perfect if you love plants but want something that feels more designed — and it'll last far longer than a traditional arrangement.
Happy designing ????
