The best plants in your garden, accordingly to my late Nan and mother, both expert gardeners, are those that are picked to bring home or gifted by friends. Little snippets here and there either loving popped into the garden or place into pots to winter over and planted out when they take root. Of all the flowers, I think the grandmother hydrangea are the best at sharing the love and continuing to offer abundance, just from cuttings.

Tip: don’t forget to keep watered!

- Part one, the propagating into a pot.
- Part two, is placing that pot into a nicer display container,
- Part three, is in creating a display that is more than just an empty pot of sticks as you WAIT WAIT WAIT for growth.

To ensure mine are visually pleasing to the eye, I pop artificial hydrangea blooms down into the soil. Now that’s, instant gratification!

As the stems take stock (roots) and the leaves start to burst, all you have to do is remove the blooms and what for matured gorgeousness.

Happy propagating and designing!
